I am VERY impressed with the work done by David & his son John. As a person that’s detailed oriented I highly suggest work done by this crew: Fast, Clean, & Professional. It wasn’t a cheap job so I didn’t hire a cheap company to do it. A+
We hired David from Lighthouse Yacht Services to remove and replace the caulking on the windshield of our SeaRay SunDancer. He told us it would be a three-day job at an hourly rate of $95.00 an hour. According to my math, that is about $2300. The bill was $4189. His explanation was that the job was more difficult than he originally thought. When I asked him why he didn’t call me, he had no explanation. After the job, the windshield leaked. He came out and repaired it. However, it leaked again in two more places after he repaired it. His bill included 8 hours of work on a day that I know he started it work at 2:00 PM. When I asked about this, he explained that because he & his son were both working for 4 hours, the charge was for 8 hours of labor. So the real labor rate is $190 per hour. He did not explain this when he quoted the job.
