Walt’s Window Repair & Screening

I contacted Walt’s Windows a couple of weeks ago for an estimate. I was told by the person answering the phone that Walt goes on estimates a couple of days a week. That’s reasonable but I reached out a couple of more times and still no response from Walt and I came to the conclusion that if they are this unresponsive how could I trust them if there were any problems with the job. My impression was that they may well be busy but the person answering the phone didn’t seem to really care and this kind or arrogance will eventually catch up to them. My conclusion is that they don’t need my business and I’m done with them!

Got directions from website. Drove all the way over here. Note posted on door. “No walk in customers” Why is this not posted on the website!!!! Complete waste of my time. Called phone number and “sorry, can’t help you was all I got”. Terribly unprofessional. I work at a big box home improvement retailer and have referred countless customers here over the years. Never again.

I can understand Covid-19 concerns, but as others have stated the receptionist is not friendly. I now understand she is the wife of the owner and elderly, so I will give her a break. No dropping off of any sashes to be repaired (what?). Decided to repair myself, called Joe Roth Glass, drove down with removed piece of glass in back of my truck. Called him, distanced ourselves, he measured and cut glass for me right there. Nice as can be and only $30. That is service.

Updating my previous review. Initially could not reach anyone by phone. But once I did they were old fashioned in a sort of slow way, but very good in their work. The owner gave me good advice, and the technician who came out was personable, professional, and thorough. They treated us right!
