Was seen by Dr Marques for the first time today. Very knowledgeable and nice! Office was clean and staff very sweet.

I wish I could enter a zero for an initial unprofessional experience. Terrible attitude from the receptionist upon entering. Just awful. Her attitude turned me away and I never made it to the doctor/DO or MD.

On a recently prior trip to an adjacent merchant I noticed the words WALK-IN CLINIC on the door and made a mental note of the location, should I ever need it. The time arrived and I needed a walk in clinic for what was later diagnosed at another (caring, friendly and efficient) Baptist Heath clinic as bronchitis.

After I greeted the receptionist with a warm ‘Good Morning’, she stared back at me with no response. Giving her the benefit of the doubt that she was possibly having a rough morning, I then politely continued to ask if I could see a doctor and if they took my insurance. She snapped that the establishment wasn’t a Walk In Clinic and they would need all my information and would contact me later for an appointment. I pointed out that ‘WALK-IN CLINIC’ was in large letters on the door (see the attached pic) and she tersely repeated that it indeed wasn’t a walk in clinic. I thanked her and promptly left.

If I were the doctor or office manage, she’d be gone in an instant.

I must say that if I was the DO or MD administering care for my patients, I would make sure the front desk receptionist/greeters reflected my dedication and would prefer a demeanor that reflected a caring and professional bedside manner. Besides the receptionist, other workers, perhaps nurses, behind her looked on with equally unhelpful faces. It registered as a clinic with a staff that just doesn’t care. Any follow up with this staff, judging from the initial experience, would be inefficient and frustrating .

Doctor Rodriguez was the first and only doctor to take my thyroid disease seriously. He’s an amazing man.

Has saved my life literally. Very good and won’t hesitate to put your medical needs above insurance claims. Service is usually fast, but some days its slower because it’s a walk in clinic. If you make an appointment, you get priority. Would recommend to anyone.
