What a waste of time. My 89 y.o. Mom fell and fractured her wrist; went to the ER. We were told to follow up with an orthopedist. I chose Dr Young based on his education and experience. My mistake.
He spent so little time with my mom, popping in then out, then in then out, it made her head spin. All the while she was in severe pain, crying on and off from same.
I cannot recommend him and will not be going back. He may be talented – we wouldn’t know – but I suspect I can find another talented doc who’s more compassionate and empathetic to his patients’ needs.
Perhaps he’s too old and desensitized to be effective at the patient level. Now I’ll try to find a hand/wrist specialist who’s been practicing 10 to 20 years, not 40-plus years.
