A week ago Wednesday January 27th, 2021 I had a double knee replacement surgery under the direction of Dr. Johnathan Courtney at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Although I had been suffering severe and constant knee pain I was afraid of doing what I knew should be done. My previous consultations with orthopedic surgeons only enhanced my fears but then I was referred to Dr. Courtney and everything changed. From the moment I walked into his office and consulted with him I knew that everything would be fine. His approach in dealing with my issue was professional, deliberate, caring and direct. The X-rays revealed that my only option was to undergo a double knee replacement; however he did not pressure me to do anything until I was ready Instead he took the time to explain my situation in terms that I would understand and reassured me that I would be in good hands should I ever decide to proceed. At that very moment instead of hesitating and do nothing I put my full trust in him to walk pain free again.
It’s been a week since my surgery and I am relieved that it’s over and now it’s time to thank everyone who helped me in this journey. The entire staff at Dr. Courtney’s office ,the nurses and staff at Boca Regional were caring, compassionate and responsive to my every need. I highly recommend Dr. Courtney and thank him for giving me a better quality of life.

I’m writing this review prematurely. I saw Dr. Courtney for a second opinion for my hip. As I knew I need surgery. Unfortunately I need to wait 3 months since another Dr. gave me a cortisone shot that did nothing. As soon As Dr. Courtney walked in the room I felt totally comfortable and optimistic that he is the Dr. for me. In the 2 months since I have seen him I have called his office numerous times. Every time I call I get Madison – part of his staff. She is so compassionate and wonderful every time I call. Unfortunately I had cortisone on Jan. 5 so I am still waiting for my surgery. I definately feel that I am in the right hands!

Dr. Jonathan Courtney performed Bilateral knee arthroplasty on both my knees on January 18 2021. At my two week follow up I was allowed to return to the gym for low impact exercises and upper body weights.
I had my six week follow up on March 2nd. At that time Dr. Courtney released me back to my active life style.
His entire staff was always very friendly and professional . Winston and Madison are the two nurses that assisted with scheduling my PT and my two week follow up.
I highly recommend Dr. Courtney for knee and hip replacements.

I definitely give Dr. Courtney a five star rating! Dr. Courtney was very professional, took his time to explain what was going on with my knee, and why I needed a total knee replacement. Dr. Courtney is an amazing orthopedic surgeon who cares about his patients, along with professional staff like Madison, his medical assistant. My total knee replacement was less than four weeks ago and now I am back to walking 1 mile every evening without any pain. Because of you Dr. Courtney, I am doing exceptionally well! Dr. Jonathan Courtney is the very BEST!!

Dr Courtney and his staff especially Madison where great. I am so happy with my progress. I’m playing softball again only 2 months after my partial knee replacement surgery. Also I can walk without pain for the first time in years. Everything went just as he said but you still have to do your PT everyday to get the best results. I would highly recommend him for your knee replacement surgery.
