Not a very good business overall. They can’t make up their minds on which address they want payments sent to. The people that answer phone calls have no clue how to help you; in the end they can only take messages. Someone might answer your message but it will be at least a week – if you’re even answered at all. I am an experienced property owner and have owned several properties. Obviously their wanton disregard for not answering other poor reviews shows their business ethics. First Choice is not the worst that I have dealt with, but it is among the worse.

If I could give zero stars I would. Look, I read the previous complaints and decided to continue with an hoa application through these individuals. Thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. Boy was I ever so wrong. My family and I decided to rent a home in a community that happened to be managed by first choice. Due to emergency of our situation selling our home and needing a new place we paid our rush fee on top of application fee. Not more than a couple days later do these individuals come back with a denial letter with clear font that we lied on our application. Which, we didn’t. With all proven letters and emails as well as a certificate with a seal on it from a court house to prove we didn’t lie, it wasn’t good enough for this company. They denied us a property, called my husband a liar, and used a background check company who doesn’t do their homework. I will now be doing what’s needed with an attorney because we requested our rush fee back and chose to go with a different home. They refuse to hand our money back. They are complete and utter liars and absolutely disgust me to no end. As I have been emailing Desiree she refused to answer my calls while we were going through this situation. Her new assistant Carrie that works there, I would call demanding to speak with Desiree instead of doing a back and forth email, who lied to me and my husband multiple times stating that she wasn’t around but she’d have her call me. Let me say this the only liars in this situation was this company not my Husband or me. The reason why I know, Russell fields from there called and acknowledged that she was there the entire time but was too scared to take my phone calls. So she had Carrie lie to me and then to my husband that she wasn’t available. This company is not reputable, not trustworthy, and will deny you and take your money. I will now be seeking attorney consultation going forward in this process because of what they chose to do and how they chose to go about this entire situation. They also lied stating they used a background company LexisNexis, and when I called lexisnexis and have everything recorded, they said there was never a file open for my husband or I through them. And when I had LexisNexis pull up a background check which they sent to us to view, there was nothing..let me repeat NOTHING on any records for myself or my husband. I’m so disgusted with these people. They lie, cheat and steal. Do yourselves a favor…go with ANYONE else but these people.

The astrosidy of this place. DO NOT USE THEM. again.. DO NOT USE THEM. They discriminate against people and happily take your money. Having an encounter with the company was the most ridiculous thing any person would agree to. If you like your money in your back pocket and no stress use any one else in Boca. Russell, the manager came out in extreme anger and distraught and was completely unethical and conniving towards the 4 people who signed a lease. They took our money happily leaving us along the street. The worst in the state of Florida.

I give this management 0 stars, they are absolutely the worst people I have ever dealt with. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. My roommates and I already signed a lease to a townhouse for rent in the Boca Raton area, payed the HOA fee of $175 and now they tell us we can not live together because we are not related. Meanwhile there are 4 unrelated boys living there now and there was 4 unrelated boys there previously. They are refusing to give 3 of us our money back and only allowing one person their money back. When we had a meeting with Russell, they kicked us out of their office and called the police. We are now forced to find another place and now we have to take civil action to receive our money back. Whatever you do, PLEASE do not go through this management group.

The management company is absolutely ridiculous. To describe the experience in short, my 3 roommates and I were planning to move into a townhouse in the Boca Raton area. They gave us 4 applications and accepted all 4 as well as $175 each. After we signed the lease and everything, they came back and told us that we cannot live there because we are not related. While I do understand that this is a law of Boca, I do not understand the fact that they were not able to refund our money. They told us that we can get 1 application refunded and resubmit with 3 applications. There are 4 of us so that does not even make any sense. They then called the police on our realtor and us and told us to leave. We left and saw the police in the parking garage, spoke to him, and the police even agreed that we need to get our money back. First Choice should be your LAST choice.
