City of Boca Raton Building Permits

called in for help with a permit app, got someones attitude instead. awful service, hire employees who actually want to help other people, that’s all

Rude customer service reps in building dept.. celeste, sloan are rude. The rest os people all tell you different things, nothing is consistent. The process to get a permit approved seems simple and is just made complicated by those working there. How can we follow instructions when every person gives you different directions. Get it together or find someone to run this place efficiently.

Some provide great guidance but some are impatient and rude.

The people working here were VERY helpful! I don’t think I would have ever gotten thru this overly complicated and very rigid online system without them. Your staff deserves 5 stars-they are awesome!

Online system- 2/3 stars. Why is it so complicated and specific?!

I have to deal with the building departments of many cities on a regular basis. I have NEVER taken the time to write a review. When I deal with most cities they are rude, they EXPECT you to be an expert on their system and specialized way of doing things.

Boca Raton was different! What a pleasant change of pace. I was impressed with the helpfulness and kindness I encountered this week from their staff. I only wish I would have saved the name of the wonderful woman who helped me thru the whole process. The process itself might be unnecessarily specific, but I was able to navigate thru it because of the help I received.

In case you have no frame of reference, some cities cannot even be bothered to answer the phone to help or answer questions. You guys are EXCEPTIONAL!!
