Dr. Roger Z. Samuel, MD

Come from family with clinical depression. Suffered many years with many doctors. Dr. Samuel is the best. Changed my meds and helped me tremendously. Stopped taking anxiety meds been taking 40 years.

I can’t believe the bad reviews! I saw him for years (originally therapy, but then just 15-minute med check appointments) and he was extremely professional and intelligent. He dresses beautifully and is a doctor I really respect, unlike many others. He IS a stickler for time, so no, 15 minutes late is not going to cut it (as another reviewer expressed shock over this fact). Good for him! I drove from West Palm to Boca for him and knew I had to leave early early.
I think he’s a fabulous shrink.

My daughter went to see this “doctor” as she is dealing with PTSD. He crossed several boundaries: he kept telling my daughter she didn’t have night terrors, he asked my daughter to tell her therapist that she is an idiot, he brought in his own personal story by telling my daughter he had a gun pointed to his head while making the hand motion asking my daughter if she had ever experienced that, he told my daughter that he had someone die in his arms and asked her if she had ever experienced that, and without my adult daughter’s consent, brought in my wife to the evaluation since he lacked the skills to handle my daughter’s case. He kept repeating his litany of “qualifications” (like he does in his own review of himself further down), but the only thing he proved is that all those “credentials” don’t make him capable of handling a teen with trauma. My daughter’s condition is worse after this exchange with this character.

Dr. Samuel is an excellent psychiatrist and remains one of the best psychiatrists i’ve worked with which says a lot as someone who suffers from mental illness and is in the field of mental health. He is intelligent, understanding, genuine and extremely competent in his work. He is empathetic and is truly someone who is trying to help patients. He is well versed in all areas of psychiatry and makes sure to explain in detail what he is doing for patients so they are completely on the same page. I am glad to have found someone of his caliber locally and truly value Dr. Samuel’s help over the years.

Dr. Samuel has helped me through my TBI for several months. I’m so grateful that I found this doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for the best care. Dr Samuel has shown me so much compassion through out this difficult time of my life. His staff is always attentive, caring and helpful.
