Wow, a doctor with a personality. Who’da thunk?

Brought my 88.y.o. Mom to Dr. Sunshine’s office today for evaluation and the probable treatment of osteoporosis. She recently experienced two lumbar compression fractures. Sunshine was very pleasant and explained the process in a clear manner. His office is updated, the gal at the front desk was nice, and we were seen in a timely fashion. Can’t expect more, imo, during the first visit.

He ordered bone-density and blood tests and we scheduled a follow-up about three weeks out. I noticed some reviewers here had problems getting records. Can’t speak to that yet, but I’ll update my review as we move along. So far….., so good.

All I have to say is always request your medical records to confirm your diagnose specially with this Doctor. I spent 2 years putting all kinds of medication that I didn’t need. Everything I was told I had was not in the medical records when I requested a copy. Be aware!!

I was disappointed. I went to his office, for join pain, under the pandemia of Covid 19. He sent me to do some blood work at Quest. After few days the front desk called me to came an see the doctor. I asked if he can gave me the results over the phone, the lady in the front desk told me that the doctor doesnt give results over the phone. I went today, I left work earlier, under this pandemia, paid my copay. The doctor told me that the test under reumathology were all negative. I felt it was unnecessary to made me came.

Ok first let me say that I am not easily impressed by most doctors. I have a few chronic illnesses and have seen more than my fair share. So when one demonstrates the ability and understanding that Dr. sunshine does then I take notice. It was almost like he was reading my mind and knew some of the issues I was having before I could even tell him. He is one of the smartest, understanding, caring doctors I have ever seen. The woman at the front gave me no issues as some have commented but no matter who is sitting at the front desk Dr. sunshine is is worth it. I will update my review if I have any issues but if you are looking for a great rheumatologist then you will not find a better one. “that I know of” Hopefully my family will not need him but if they do another Dr. is not even an option.

Dr Sunshine and his office staff couldn’t be better. Truly a rare find in today’s world. I can’t recommend strongly enough!! He’s willing to search out answers and be a diagnostician putting pieces together! I’m truly grateful to have found a Dr who is perfectly named!! Even his front office staff exuded warmth over the phone and in person… grateful to have found compassionate caring!
