International Hair and Barber Academy

As a student I am absolutely grateful to be part of this school. Teachers are very professional and patient. Betty’s color class is amazing. It Opened my mind.
I graduated beauty school in my country many years ago, and I thought I know everything about coloristic )) But Betty’s class took me on a different level!!!

The best part of this school’s program, from my opinion, is Betty’s ADVANCE color class. I love the fact, that she puts lots of effort to provide us such an important information, that we will use in the field.
There’s so much details into the color process, that we don’t know about or simply don’t understand. But there’s so much information being given, at this class, that it’s nearly impossible NOT to learn!

Went to have my roots colored for my Daughter’s wedding & a hair cut. Well didn’t have the best experience. My color turned out wrong. The women doing my hair told me when she was done washing it ” oh the color is perfect.”
When we went to sit in the chair for her to cut it I saw my hair was red. I said to her why is my hair red my hair color is brown this doesn’t match. She told me when I wash it the red would come out. I told her I was concerned. She went & got the Manger. From there everything was rushed to try & fix my hair. The school closed my hair was fixed for free but I can still see Red underneath. I never received the haircut. When I asked about her not finishing my cut she said well we close at 4:30 & it’s 5 now. You can come back tomorrow at 9. We’ll I have a flight tomorrow that’s not going to work. They didn’t charge me anything. But the service I called & made apt for was never finished. Also they tried to blame the color on me. Saying that I must of Bleached my hair before & we don’t know what kinda of shampoo you use. And I must have some kinda of product on my hair. Well I’ve never bleach my hair before it’s brown. I’ve had my hair colored before professionally & this has never happened. I’ve also have used color from a box before with no problems.

I called back this afternoon because I have breakage where the color was applied. The owner answered when I told her who I was. She said that was rude what you wrote after all we did for you. 1st you knew my hair was messed up that’s why you fixed it for free. And I would think anyplace would stay open to correct a problem. When I told her about my hair be damage she said that’s not from us we only use professional products. Didn’t say come on in so we can look at it. She actually hung up on me. I guess the truth hurts. What I wrote was only the truth. Also my hair cut was never finished I asked for long layers which was never done. She only trimmed the ends I’m sure your student will tell you this. She told me she only did a blunt cut. Also I was in the car at 5:10 heading home I have a text on my phone with the time. I’m sure some people may have a great experience here. But mine wasn’t.

It’s a shame to call this institution an “academy”. Most of your students use drugs right in the parking lot of the academy, including some teachers. Do you do any drug screenings? You’d be better off making this a rehab center.

This is the best school ever. I learned so many different techniques from America and Europe, no other school will teach you so much. The Cosmetology and barber teachers are amazing especially Betty who taught me so much. I was also able to learn both Cosmetology and barbering. I got an amazing job, the owner of the salon couldn’t believe that I just got out of school. He said that my techniques were even better then hair stylists of 5 years.
