My husband has been attending the memory care center for 2 years. It has been so stimulating for him and gives me much needed respite. The staff is caring, patient, helpful and very professional. They feel like family with much attention given to my husband and to me. I highly recommend this facility because they have been so wonderful for us and to us.

Big problem locating place. The people working there are great and say they are working on updating signage to make it easier to find

There’s no words to describe how lucky I was to spend time in this place. I was one of the CNA working for one of the patients that attended to their program. I can tell too many amazing things about them and I will never end, but what I think that make that place so peculiar is that every single employee love what they do, from the door to the back salons you can feel that love and dedication to serve and care. I really invited to all the Alzheimer’s community to learn from this place. Thank you soo much for the opportunity to learn from you, for your kindness, for keeping alive the hope, for Mimi and myself ❤️

Love this place…having to care for a loved one with Dementia is probably one of the most trying and yet rewarding times of your life. I believe that this is a cross to bear and it can’t be carried without outside help. In fact, I have a cousin and a father who died first because they were caretakers of people with Dementia., specifically Altzhermer’s.

The Green Memory and Wellness Center is one of the best kept secrets in South Florida. In fact, if I hadn’t worked at Florida Atlantic University for almost 20 years, I would have never known about it. First and foremost they offer day care for participants with some sort of memory illness. The staff is phenomenal! They are so friendly and caring, not to mention efficient! My mother-in-law always gives me a hard time about going because Altzhermer’s patients don’t like any sort of change even though it is good for them and stimulates the brain. Yet, by the end of the day, she is happy that she went. It gives her much needed stimulation as well as socialization.

Secondly, the offer support for caregivers. I attend the support group sessions offered every week. I also attend the SPA days where they have speakers on various topics relating to care of people with memory issues. Lastly, I go to their library where you can find numerous helpful books on this issue. Plus, it is a place where you can recharge your batteries and have a little quiet time to yourself.

Driving is an issue for many older adults with memory issues. Giving up the keys to the car is easier when an outside person determines it is time to do so. The Center offers testing to make this determination.

I love going to the support group sessions. It gives me an opportunity to vent my frustrations. Plus, I have made several friends by going.

All in all, this Center is one of the best South Florida has to off and I am grateful to the Greens for providing the funds to establish it.

Awesome place with caring people! My Mom goes there twice a week and it is literally the best thing the doctor suggested to help her live with early state Alzheimer’s. At 82, it is not easy to get her to try new things but she truly enjoys her days at the Center. Special thanks to Krista – she makes Mom’s visits memorable!
