I can attest to the poor quality in the software this company provides. I’m a Software Developer who has worked extensively for the past 4 years with this company’s software. It is a real mess. You have to get into the nuts and bolts to make this thing do what you want. They provide a SOAP api that is designed pretty badly and also requires that you have DB access in order to facilitate using the API at all. Kind of defeats the purpose if you ask me. Save yourself the headache, otherwise you will be “locked in” for decades, this is the only reason these guys are still in business.

I had an awesome experience working here as an intern. Employees are helpful and kind and teach you plently.

I’ve spent two years attempting to figure out the logic in CampusVue/CampusNexus. We have two campuses that use CampusVue and four that do not. If I can figure out how to smoothly transition away from this software, I will. The software is no doubt powerful. Unfortunately, you will likely need someone with more database experience than you can afford if you wish to take advantage of that power. I am very comfortable functioning within a database environment but still can’t figure this one out. I feel like I don’t own the data and don’t truly have access to the data. I’d also love to be able to pick up the phone and receive help. I submitted an urgent trouble ticket and haven’t received any communication from them in hours. I’ve never been able to just get an answer to a question. Questions take days to answer and our business can’t operate like that. If you’re looking, I’d advise looking somewhere else.
