Worst of the absolute worst. We recently switched from SWA to City of Boca Trash and to say they are inconsistent would be an understatement. Absolutely terrible service. They cannot seem to complete the simplest of tasks of picking up resident’s trash on their regularly scheduled day.

The City of Boca Raton sanitation department arbitrarily changes pick up days during holidays and fails to notify its customers. They claim they provide updates via the website, so unless you regularly check their website prior to pulling your cans to the curb, be forewarned, or else you’ll have a full trash can sitting out front for days. Also, they conveniently fail to answer the phone 30 minutes prior to the end of day.

So the city recently decided not to renew the contract with SWA and needless to say the services they provide are LACKING at best. SWA used to remove bulk debris and now the city has told me that I have to hire a private contractor to remove the waste or haul it myself. SWA used to bring my trash cans up the driveway, City of Boca throws of cans on the driveway or on the yard. So now I have to pay for additional services or do it myself. This is why the private sector always provides a better service. It will be very hard to fire the City of Boca Raton.

Why is it, that when the recycling people come, and paper blows out while they’re putting it in their truck, they just let it blow around in my yard, instead of doing the right thing, by picking it back up? I expect better, but could I be wrong
