Faced with the dilemma of buying a new couch or having our old one reupholstered we went to Genova on a recommendation from Sobe Furniture. The shop had Best of Boca awards for several years and had the feel of a old time craftsman approach to their work. Luis made the sale easy. A true craftsman who knows his business. He was honest up front about the timing to complete our job and as other reviews have pointed out there were a few unreturned phone calls. However the finished product was well worth the wait. Perfectly done by craftsmen who really know their trade and well worth the wait. We highly recommend this business.

Nice man, horribly run business. They do not answer the phone, nor call back. Did one job incorrectly, and late, for a highly inflated price. AVOID

Genova Upholstery is an average upholstery shop with poor customer service. In a month, I called their office about 6-7 times and didn’t recieve a single call back. My project was completed 3 weeks after the date it was promised. Their quality of work is better than their service. I am happy with the end result minus one corner seam that sits about an inch below the actual corner.

I’m having leather furniture redone in white leather not started yet.

It has been a pleasure to do business with Luis and his team. He recently reupholstered 2 occasional chairs and 6 dining chairs for me. They all look beautiful. The craftsmanship is superb, with meticulous attention to detail. It would have been impossible for me to buy customized new chairs with the same mix of fabrics I chose, and even if I had found something similar, the cost would have been prohibitive. Luis is a person of integrity and his pricing is very fair.
