I was fortunate enough to be given a massage session with this remarkable therapist, John Chervenak, and I can’t even begin to explain how amazing he is.
Credentially speaking (okay, I probably just made up that word), he’s a Licensed Massage Therapist, Cranial Sacral Therapist, Certified Myoskeletal Therapist. Certified Health Coach with many years of experience. He has recently become a Certified Lypossage Therapist. Aside from that, he just exudes an aura of peace and caring.
I’d never had a massage and didn’t know what to expect. I had recently fallen at home and really messed up my hips before I managed to hit the ground. They were both painful enough to keep me up at night. I was so skeptical when the friend that gave me this gift told me that he’d take care of it. I seriously thought it couldn’t be done. I’m so glad to admit just how wrong I was.
John came out to our house for the session, toting a big table. The table was well padded and he had a heated pad for extra comfort. He also brought along some very relaxing music. He did some of what I’d probably call “traditional” massage, but since he is also a Reiki Master, he incorporated that modality, too.
As he worked, he asked me about any and all health issues that I had. I have Multiple Sclerosis, 3 artificial joints and degenerative joint disease. As I went over my laundry list of musculoskeletal issues, he would address each specific area. He told me that my hips were significantly misaligned, which is why they were causing me so much pain. I don’t know what he did, but they were completely fine when he finished and didn’t bother me again. That was HUGE! I could finally sleep without pain.
As a health coach, John also dispenses a great deal of holistically based information for whatever problems are plaguing you.
He has worked with me at least once a week for about 6 months now, and there is no way to explain how much my physical and mental health has improved from his care. The change has been phenomenal.
So, if you need a terrific massage, or know someone else that does, look no further. I don’t see how you could do any better. In the meantime, I’m trying to figure out a way to get him to move in with me……
