Sponder Gallery is by far the best gallery I have worked with in the many decades that I have purchased and collected modern art.
Owner Deborah Sponder and her trusted team of Cristin and Beverly go above and beyond with their intimate knowledge of the markets and the artists, their ability to source from new and established artists, their understanding of the needs of the buyer, their customer service, and their ability to negotiate value.
The team has great depth and breadth in the art world; they know most of the artists personally after being in the business for decades. Each member of the team is a delight to work with and Deborah has become my trusted advisor for any art acquisition. As examples of their attention to detail, we personally visited the studio of Jonathan Prince to identify the finest piece for my needs. In my recent purchase of a large Boaz Vaadia sculpture, the team helped me place it virtually in a number of locations before I decided on the perfect spot. Invaluable help when the statue weighs 1500 pounds!
