I have worked with Universal Publishers on two books, the latest entitled “Unbinding Christianity (Choosing the Values of Jesus over the Beliefs of the Church).” Having had 18 books published by several houses and had a variety of experiences, without question working with Jeff Young has been as good as it gets. Universal Publishers shows a level of professionalism authors don’t always find. Jeff has shown me respect as an author, responded to my questions and concerns during the publishing process in a timely fashion (something I have not always found), and made the whole process feel quite personal. My relationship with Universal has spanned 16 years. More than being one of mutual financial benefit, working together has been an absolute pleasure all the way through. To any author who has the opportunity to work with Jeff Young, I can say unequivocally that you should jump at the chance to do so.

I was very satisfied with how Universal Publishers handled everything with regard to development, publishing and marketing. The only drawback in marketing was not making the book available to brick-and-mortar bookstores, but that is understandable with a small, independent publisher. Jeff has been a pleasure to work with and was very helpful in getting a suitable title and the final cover design for the book. He has also done a great job with on-line marketing and making ebooks available for people to review, although I am still waiting for many of those people to write reviews.

Jeff Young is the most professional and helpful person I have come across in my long publishing history. I have had two books published by Universal Publishers this year, one of which is REWRITING CULTURAL PSYCHOLOGY: TRANSCEND YOUR ETHNIC ROOTS AND REDEFINE YOUR IDENTITY.

Universal Publishers were a pleasure to work with when publishing my first textbook “Managing Bids, Tenders and Proposals”. Jeff Young was highly professional and offered great support and encouragement. Experienced and new authors alike can approach Universal Publishers with confidence and expect to enjoy success.

Universal Publishers (BrownWalker Press & Dissertation.com) is an exceptional company. Universal Publishers published my first book, “A Teacher’s Cry: Expose the Truth About Education Today,” in 2004 when no other company would give me the time of day. The book went on to be embraced as a teaching tool by colleges of education. BrownWalker Press published my second book, “Discovering the Real America: Toward a More Perfect Union,” in 2007. Universities have used that book as a teaching tool for diversity and cultural competency courses. Universal Publishers published my third book, “Our Fathers: Making Black Men,” in 2017. This book has been embraced by community groups for the mentoring of black youths that it promotes. Universal Publishers (BrownWalker Press & Dissertation.com) is a great company with talented, knowledgeable people. They work with writers to get treasured manuscripts into print. I adore the print on demand component of the company. Universal Publishers is not afraid to take risks on manuscripts that other publishers won’t touch. In my book, that gifts the company and its staff five stars!
