The park looks clean and the equipment is not too old if a little rusty.
I don’t like the idea of a canal being really close to the playground because beside the obvious drowning dangers while standing in the shade we were bit by a few mosquito/nosee’ems and unfortunately both my daughter and I are a little sensitive to bites.
Could have been because while we were there the temperature went from 73 to 86 degrees withing an hour.
So I can’t think of how buggy the place will be in the summer.
We will give it another try because it is really close to home, then we’ll see.

A hidden gem…don’t tell anyone…all kidding aside, it’s a great small park for basketball, running, tennis, volleyball with a boat ramp for small boats. There’s a restroom and a very nice view of the canal. Very popular for dog walks ( leashes are required) and family cookouts under the pavilions. As it’s my local park please pick up your rubbish. There are plenty of trash cans. Very safe, patrolled on a frequent basis by the police.
